Christmas Day

Christmas is such a great holiday. No work, hopefully a lot of relaxing, and spending time with your family. This is the girls first Christmas. Kate and I were probably more excited than the girls were. Being 11 months old, I’m sure that they’ll look back at the pictures and have no recollection what-so-ever, but they’ll definitely see that they had an enjoyable time. We all did.
Christmas day was nice. For the girls first Christmas, we had an extremely relaxing morning sharing gifts. They played, ate, and napped. Then we were off to Grandma Lorraine and Grandpa Bob’s for brunch and the traditional holiday Bloody Mary. The girls got to wish a Merry Christmas to Bob and Lorraine, Grandma Marcia and Grandpa Gary, Aunt Meghan and Uncle Charlie, and Uncle Tom Zelenz.


After the nice brunch, it was off to my brother Joe’s place for an early dinner. As usual, my sister-in-law Rupal was such an excellent cook and host. Her appetizer spread was more than enough to fill up the entire get together, and there was still the main entrée(s). To help celebrate the holiday were Rupal’s parents, brother Nehal, sister Sonal and her husband Jiten with their son Devon, and my mom.


This holiday has been pretty fantastic thus far. First and Foremost, it was the girls first Christmas. That should be enough right there. We have the best families to share the holidays with. Both Katy and I are off until January 4. We’ve been treating ourselves (and the girls) to eating out. We both go to see awesome movies. Katy watched her “New Moon” while I watched “Avatar.” Kate watched “New Moon” twice. OK, I also watched “Avatar” twice. It’s such an awesome experience being in 3D.


Everybody was so extremely generous with their gifts for the girls. We want to thank everybody from the bottom of our hearts. Happy Holiday and we hope the best for everybody in 2010.
