On Sunday, July 12 Madison and Melanie were baptized at St. Patrick's Church in Wadsworth. This was the same church that Al and I were married in (we were married in the small chapel and the girls were baptized in the new church).
The girls were two of five babies baptized and they were the only babies that didn't cry when the water was poured over their heads. They were such good little girls! The gowns that they are wearing were made by my Grandma Lorraine. The fabric was my mom's wedding dress and the bottom trim of the dresses was part of Al's mom's train from her wedding dress. Needless to say, these gowns are priceless and wonderful keepsakes for the girls to have.
Al with Madison, Katy with Melanie and Deacon Dave. We selected this date specifically because Deacon Dave was doing the ceremony. He also did my RCIA classes and confirmed me a couple of years ago.
Madison and her godparents, Jodi and Ed. Why are baptisms scheduled right at nap time?
Melanie and her godparents, Joe and Meghan.

I love that you had the gowns made out of the wedding dresses. We did that too for Lainey, and I thought that it was soooo special that way. Congrats, Melanie and Madison, and God Bless! (PS-Katy, you look GREAT!)
