It was Six Flag Great America Day at Wrigley Field this past Sunday as the Cubs played the Brewers. Mr. Six (dancing old guy in the commercials) got to throw out the first pitch. He was accompanied by Bugs Bunny and his best friend Daffy Duck. Mr. Six, Bugs, and Daffy need escorts when they walk around to assist them. Well Katy and I got to be their escorts. What a great day. We got to promote the park that we love at a major league stadium. We had VIP treatment. We got to see the front office. We camped out in the conference room where all the major trades happen. We saw the Cubs GM, Jim Hendry. Kate and I got to walk on the field during batting practice. We accompanied the characters around the concourse and outside the gates. We were on the field for the first pitch and we got tickets right behind home plate. It was definitely a day to remember. Thank you to my brother Joe and my lovely sister-in-law, Rupal for taking care of the girls. It was their first day in the city at their Uncle Joe's and they can't wait to come back and go for another walk around their neighborhood.
Katy and her Cubs contact, Anna Rivera during batting practice. Anna was giving us a preview of what we needed to do on the field for the first pitch ceremony.
Katy down on the field.
